Job summary

Shaker Gardens is hiring a State Tested Nursing Assistant to deliver compassionate care to residents, including bathing, grooming, and daily living activities. You will monitor health status, report changes, and support staff with training while maintaining a safe, clean environment under established policies.

You will work with a collaborative team, document care accurately, and participate in ongoing education to enhance resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered STNA license in this state.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledgeable in nursing practices and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with daily living activities such as toileting, incontinence care, and mobility.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to the nursing team.
• Supervise and educate STNAs and facility personnel on policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff development, training, and orientation programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following safety and sanitation protocols.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained and used.
• Record entries on flow sheets and charts in a descriptive manner.
• Report changes in resident condition to Nurse Supervisor, LPN, or RN.
• Attend to care plans daily and inform supervisors of changes in condition.
