Job summary

Cumberland Nursing is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in Somerset, KY. The role covers 12-hour shifts with various schedules (Full time / Part time / PRN) and a benefits package. We provide PPE, infection control, and a supportive environment focused on resident well-being.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, ensure timely care, and support care plan objectives while collaborating with nursing staff and families.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Prior LTC nursing assistant experience preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Good standing in the state CNA registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom to determine residents' needs.
• Ensures residents who cannot call for help are checked frequently.
• Provides direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Explains procedures to residents.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists with bowel and bladder functions and transport to appointments and activities.
• Assists with lifting, positioning and transporting residents safely.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
