Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, economics, finance, mathematics, public administration, or related field
• For Trainee 2 or Examiner 1 positions: one to two years of professional accounting and/or auditing experience (depending on level)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional skepticism and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with audit software
• Strong interpersonal and team skills

Responsibilities

• Audit state agencies and authorities to evaluate management effectiveness, program performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in preparing audit documentation and workpapers.
• Assist in assessing whether funds are properly utilized and internal controls are effective.
