Job summary

La Petite Academy is seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher to plan, assess, and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction for preschool children. You will mentor fellow teachers and foster a love of learning in a safe, engaging classroom.

You will manage classroom routines, ensure adherence to licensing requirements, and communicate with families to support each child's progress and the center's success. An active commitment to child welfare and education is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies or related degree.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Must meet state education and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Care for the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in your class.

The State Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program. We want change makers who never stop being curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.

As a Lead Pre-K Teacher, you’ll:

• Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and Pre-K program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
