Job summary

La Petite Academy in Florida is seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct based on each child’s needs and program guidelines. You will guide a classroom to foster early learning and prepare children for Kindergarten.

You’ll develop engaging lessons, manage the classroom environment, and model best practices for staff and families, while ensuring compliance with state requirements and center policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
  • Ability to meet state education requirements and provider standards.
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors with children.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
  • Care for children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth.
  • Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation; ensure licensing and center standards are met.
  • Communicate with enrolled and prospective families to support child achievement and center success.

The State Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program. We want change makers who never stop being curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.

As a Lead Pre-K Teacher, you’ll:
  • Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
  • Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
  • Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and Pre‑K program requirements.
  • Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies or related degree
  • Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
  • The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
  • The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
