Job summary

Patriot Enterprises is seeking an Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors (MFH) Coordinator to support MFH and SOS services nationwide. The role requires coordinating requests, verifying eligibility, and scheduling ceremony providers per the MFH Handbook.

The position includes maintaining MFH databases, tracking certifications, and liaising with families, VSOs, funeral directors, and military units. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

• Possess a strong sense of mission, focus, knowledge, and resourcefulness related to MFH.

Responsibilities

• Be available via telephone 24/7/365 to receive requests for ARNG Honor Guard Funeral Honors support.
• Coordinate requests for ARNG Honor Guard support, verify eligibility, and assign appropriate honors ceremony providers IAW MFH Handbook.
• Record all MFH cases in the MFH database IAW MFH Handbook.
• Coordinate with families, VSOs, funeral directors, state/military units, etc., to conduct ceremonies IAW MFH Handbook.
• Attend, monitor and evaluate at least 5% of all Honor Guard performances each quarter and report within 5 business days.
• Maintain accurate records related to the performance of veterans' organizations honors teams in the MFH database.
• Coordinate the issuance of rifles for use during performances IAW the MFH Handbook; coordinate with VSOs and base arms rooms; contractor does not transport items.
• Maintain training records for soldiers/retirees and VSOs IAW the MFH Handbook and update training records in MFH database.
• Track and maintain certifications of MFH courses in MFH database.
• Update clothing and equipment records, safety certificates, and number of funerals in the MFH database.
• Maintain the Plan of Instruction (POI) for the MFH course and National Honor Guard Soldier of the Year competition IAW MFH Handbook.
• Maintain equipment and training aids provided by the State for classroom instruction; include mock-ups and related items.
