Job summary

Patriot Enterprises is seeking a MFH Coordinator in California to support ARNG Funeral Honors and SOS programs. The role involves 24/7 availability to receive requests, coordinating eligibility, and scheduling ceremony providers per MFH Handbook.

The position requires strong communication, record-keeping, travel readiness, and ability to work with families, VSOs, and funeral directors. A high school diploma is required, with U.S. citizenship and background checks mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong sense of mission, focus and resourcefulness related to MFH.
• Emotional maturity, tact and attentive listening.
• Able to provide dignified verbal and written responses; build rapport with Families, VSOs, and stakeholders.
• Ability to use the MFH database and produce reports as required.
• Enter information into MFH database timely and accurately.
• Understand Army, NGB, State NG, and IMCOM policies, regulations, and SOPs.
• Understand ARNG organization and military culture.
• Ability to travel.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to pass extensive background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Be available via telephone 24/7/365 to receive MFH requests.
• Coordinate requests, verify eligibility, and assign appropriate honors per MFH Handbook.
• Record all MFH cases in the MFH database per MFH Handbook.
• Coordinate with families, VSOs, funeral directors, and units to conduct ceremonies per MFH Handbook.
• Attend and evaluate at least 5% of all performances each quarter; report within 5 business days.
• Maintain records related to MFH performance in the MFH database.
• Coordinate issuance of rifles for ceremonies; do not handle or transport items; scheduling only.
• Maintain training records and certificates in MFH records; update POI when needed.
• Track MFH course certificates in the MFH database.
• Maintain clothing and equipment records and safety driving certificates.
• Maintain the Plan of Instruction for MFH course and National Honor Guard events.
• Maintain equipment and training aids provided for classroom instruction.
