Whitley Penn is seeking a State & Local Tax Manager to oversee the accurate and timely delivery of tax assignments. This role focuses on state and local income/franchise tax consulting, compliance, and client service, with leadership responsibilities for staff development and engagement management.

Office is fully in-office in Texas, with standard hours, some overtime, and opportunities to contribute to business development within a high-growth firm.

Qualificações

• 5-7 years of state & local income/franchise tax compliance and consulting experience.
• Advanced technical knowledge of state income/franchise tax law and regulations.
• CPA certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide state and local income/franchise tax consulting and compliance for diverse clients across multiple states.
• Develop client relationships, manage engagement scope and staffing, and monitor budgets.
• Review and prepare state income/franchise tax returns.
• Supervise and mentor associates and interns; support business development efforts.
