Job summary

Weaver’s State and Local Tax team seeks an Income & Franchise Tax Senior Associate or Supervisor to join our growing practice. This role provides tax compliance and consulting for state and local taxes, including income and franchise tax.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in accounting, 2+ years in public accounting or industry, and is a CPA candidate or pursuing the CMI. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
• CPA candidate or pursuing the CMI.
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or industry.
• Experience preparing income & franchise tax audit and refund schedules, and preparing multi-state income tax returns including Texas Franchise Tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and consulting services for state and local taxes, including income and franchise tax.
• Identify complex tax issues and perform tax analysis for diverse clients.
• Work on income & franchise tax returns, audits, and complex research projects.
