Baker Tilly is seeking a State & Local Tax Senior Manager (Income Franchise) to join its SALT practice, delivering strategic tax consulting to middle market and Fortune 500 clients across the U.S. The role focuses on nexus, credits, incentives, and comprehensive SALT solutions while working closely with CFOs and tax leaders.

Must be located in the Southeast and will lead a growing team within a collaborative firm that values ongoing professional development and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree required.
• CPA/CMI/JD/Law License or EA required.

Responsabilités

• Be a trusted advisor to middle market and Fortune 500 clients by providing strategic SALT consulting services.
• Manage multi-disciplinary, multi-state reviews that analyze income, franchise, sales and use, payroll, and other taxes to identify optimal options.
• Research state tax issues including nexus determinations, taxability analyses and potential liabilities.
• Counsel clients on state and local tax controversies, including research and ruling requests.
• Plan and execute tax projects including due diligence and voluntary disclosures.
• Prepare technical memoranda on SALT issues for various entities.
• Maintain active client communication and manage expectations and value.
• Assist with engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure profitability targets.
• Network and build relationships with clients and the community.
