Baker Tilly seeks a Senior State & Local Tax Manager (Income Franchise) to lead SALT advisory for mid-market and Fortune 500 clients. You will guide multi-state tax planning, ensure compliance, and oversee complex nexus, credits and incentives strategies in a fast-growing practice.

Must be located in the Southeast; role involves leadership, client service excellence and collaboration across teams. Strong credentials and U.S. work eligibility are preferred.

Qualificações

• 4 year degree required.
• CPA/CMI/JD or EA licensing required.
• Masters or advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of professional SALT experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• US work authorization without sponsorship highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic state and local tax consulting services to reduce tax burden and ensure compliance across income, franchise, sales and other SALT areas.
• Manage multi-state reviews to identify optimal filing options, exemptions, credits and incentives.
• Research nexus determinations and taxability analyses; quantify potential liabilities.
• Counsel clients on SALT controversies, draft ruling requests, and support audits.
• Plan and execute tax projects including due diligence and voluntary disclosures.
• Maintain active client communication, recommend business/process improvements and manage expectations.
