Job summary

Google is seeking a leader in Government Affairs and Public Policy to champion policy initiatives across regions and product areas. You will advocate for Google and bring external perspectives into the company to inform strategy and direction, working with the Platforms and Devices Products team on public policy issues.

The role focuses on shaping policy for internet-related challenges, coordinating with communications, legal, and external teams to share Google's viewpoints with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience working on technology policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, or industry associations.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to proactively shape policy landscape. Develop and execute campaigns that accomplish Google’s goals.
• Organize, manage, and communicate critical plans and initiatives to internal stakeholders. Demonstrate the discipline to manage competing projects with tight deadlines.
• Manage external consultants and third-party advisors for health and home-related initiatives to support team objectives.
• Advise product, engineering, legal and external communications teams through a public policy lens.
