Job summary

Esri seeks a Solution Engineer Team Lead for State & Local Government to drive technical leadership across GIS solutions and the sales process. You will mentor a virtual team, present to executives, and collaborate with account managers to deliver complex GIS deployments for major customers.

The role requires deep ArcGIS expertise, >8 years in GIS, and a proven track record in technical consulting and sales collaboration. Domestic/international travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
• 3+ years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team.
• Advanced understanding of current GIS technology, including the full ArcGIS system to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use for various industries.
• Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, cloud computing).
• Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.
• Demonstrated experience of actively participating in a sales process.
• Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Be an expert. Lead technical discussions on ArcGIS and industry solutions.
• Solve problems. Propose GIS-based solutions addressing business challenges for major customers.
• Tell our story. Design technical presentations and provide guidance for conferences and executive engagements.
