Job summary

Esri is seeking a leader for its State and Local Government solution engineering team. You will coach a technical team, drive GIS-driven sales strategies, and guide complex ArcGIS solutions for strategic customers.

You will partner with account teams to advance technical win conditions and deliver measurable business value. You are a senior GIS professional with deep ArcGIS experience, strong mentoring skills, and the ability to present to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps and spatial analysis.
• 3+ years mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team.
• Advanced understanding of GIS technology and the ArcGIS system for multiple industries.
• Broad IT knowledge including hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, and web services.
• Experience in technical consulting and in participating in a sales process.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%.
• Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, business administration, or a related field.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Empower your team by managing technical activities and mentoring them with clear direction and feedback.
• Build relationships by presenting and supporting Esri software within the account team and engaging decision makers.
• Be a technical leader of ArcGIS and a subject matter expert across industries.
• Craft and propose GIS-based solutions that align with customer business needs and workflows.
• Design compelling technical and executive presentations and share best practices at events and conferences.
