Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Lancaster, CA, is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our team on a Monday to Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required; CA, NV, and WA licensing rules apply.

Pay range is $24.00–$25.70 per hour, with potential eligibility for annual bonus. Responsibilities include collecting specimens per procedures, verifying orders, data entry, maintaining logs, and complying with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test orders and enter data using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Prepare and transport specimens as required by test order.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitation, filing, phones, email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and other maintenance logs.
