Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our Lancaster, CA team. The role requires state phlebotomy licensure (NHA not accepted in CA) and entails collecting specimens, processing samples, and performing non-patient facing duties.

The position is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekends. A high school diploma and phlebotomy certification are preferred; prior phlebotomy experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsabilités

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders by using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
