Job summary

Padmore Global Connections LLC in Indiana seeks a State Lead Specialist Support to work onsite and support the state lead specialist, potentially overseeing a 20-40 county region. Qualifications

• Working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations relating to lead and healthy homes (410 IAC 29).
• Able to communicate effectively in oral and written format to professionals and non-professionals.
• Strong organizational skills to track progress on many counties concurrently.
• Able to conduct internet and traditional research effectively.
• Able to develop and document procedures involved in the work.
• Able to make decisions regarding data entry information within program areas.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and exercise good judgement with sensitive information.
• Interact with diverse stakeholders including colleagues, leaders, officials, and consultants.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, webinar/conference tools.
• Interested in how lead exposure affects family health and protection strategies.

Responsibilities

• Track current EBLL cases in Indiana's NBS state system to ensure local health departments provide case management within mandated timeframes.
• Meet weekly with the IDOH Case Surveillance Program Manager to review caseloads and issues.
• Collaborate with the Data Analyst to assess testing changes or EBLL frequency for risk factors in the district.
• Coordinate with Division Program Coordinators to identify and assign elevated blood lead level cases for inspections.
• Provide updates and technical assistance to regional contacts on Lead code changes and emerging issues.
• Periodically work with families for re-testing or home visits.
• Occasionally travel to counties within the assigned district to engage with health department staff.
• Attend and present at annual public health nurse meetings.
• Review and edit program guidance and grant applications.
