The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is seeking a nurse case manager for the Colorado Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program to provide consultation, education, and direct blood lead testing across the state.
You will guide local public health agencies and clinicians on reporting requirements, perform investigations, ensure data quality, and support outreach to caregivers to reduce lead exposure.
Competenze
- Six (6) years of professional experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, nursing, healthcare clinic management, or related field.
- Combination of related education and experience to equal six (6) years.
- Preferred experience in pediatric clinical settings and data reporting.
Mansioni
- Serve as nurse case manager within CCLPPP, providing consultation and education to clinics/f clinics on blood lead testing and reporting.
- Provide direct blood lead testing to children and adults across the state.
- Educate caregivers to reduce lead exposure and notify clinicians of exposure sources.
- Guide local public health agencies and clinicians on reporting requirements and how data is used for follow‑up services.
- Apply quality control measures and evaluate data for compliance with regulations.
