Job summary

Arbella is seeking a State Manager to lead the Personal Lines Product Department for assigned state(s). You will develop state-specific strategies, coordinate pricing and product development, and manage regulatory filing programs to ensure competitive, compliant, and profitable outcomes.

collaboration with Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, Operations, Legal, Sales & Marketing and Claims is essential to align priorities and drive performance.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressively responsible property and casualty insurance experience preferred.
• Experience with state-level insurance performance, rate indications, product changes, and Department of Insurance filings preferred.
• Industry designations such as CPCU, API, AINS, or equivalent insurance coursework are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Actuarial Science, Insurance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop state-specific strategies and operating plans to grow market share and profitability.
• Partner with Actuarial, Product leadership and regulators to coordinate filings and pricing.
• Drive product development, pricing and underwriting rule changes to achieve profitability.
• Monitor regulatory filings and maintain documentation and regulator communications.
• Analyze performance, forecast trends and present actionable recommendations.
