Job summary

Livewell Animal Hospital of St. Augustine is seeking a Hospital Manager to lead a new location from inception. You will shape culture, build a team, and establish the operational rhythm in close partnership with the Founding DVM and regional leadership.

You will own the business aspects, drive growth and community outreach, recruit and develop staff, and deliver exceptional client experiences while implementing Livewell playbooks and maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience building and developing teams with a growth-focused leadership style.
• Grit and ability to navigate ambiguous start-up dynamics.
• Willingness to learn and own financial performance (P&L, labor, inventory).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Veterinary or medical/service management experience preferred.
• De novo or start-up experience within veterinary medicine strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish hospital culture, standards, and playbooks from day one.
• Drive local marketing, community engagement, and brand presence.
• Recruit, interview, and develop a high-performing support team.
• Manage P&L, labor costs, and inventory; improve profitability.
