Job summary

Livewell Animal Hospital is seeking a Hospital Manager to build and grow a brand-new hospital from the ground up. You will establish culture, standards, and an operational rhythm in close partnership with leadership, while driving growth and community engagement.

You will recruit and develop a high-performing team, own financial performance, and design systems for exceptional client experiences. This role rewards energy, grit, and a strong growth mindset within a nationwide veterinary network.

Qualifications

• High energy and growth mindset for startup dynamics.
• Strong leadership to build and scale a hospital from inception.
• Experience building teams and driving performance with a service focus.
• Willingness to own financial performance (P&L, labor, inventory).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Prior management experience in veterinary, medical, retail, or service sectors preferred.
• De novo/startup experience in veterinary medicine strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish hospital culture, standards, and operational rhythm from day one.
• Develop local marketing strategies and community partnerships to grow visits.
• Lead interviewing and hiring for all support roles and build a cohesive team.
• Manage P&L, labor costs, and inventory; identify profitability opportunities.
• Deliver hospitality-focused client service and resolve client concerns promptly.
