Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an Implementation General Manager to lead new start-up operations within our Technology sector. This role provides strategic and operational leadership from contract award through launch and ramp-up, partnering with customers and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has GM-level or Senior Operations Manager experience with full P&L ownership, start-up implementation experience, and a proven track record of launching operations.

Qualifications

• GM level experience or Senior Operations Manager with full P&L ownership.
• Proven full P&L management experience with financial accountability.
• Experience building high-performing teams and site culture.
• Experience working with Tier 1 WMS solutions (Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or comparable).
• Experience working directly with customers and managing customer relationships.
• Ability to travel ~80%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of implementation success through achievement of planned operating volumes, labor productivity targets, service levels, quality metrics, and financial objectives.
• Develop and execute comprehensive implementation plans with milestones, resources, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
• Identify gaps and risks in the operating model and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Develop site startup staffing strategies, hiring plans, onboarding, and training for launch and ramp-up.
• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; maintain a safe, efficient working environment.
• Utilize WMS and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance, and drive improvements.
• Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance and KPIs for decision-making.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction and expectations are met.
• Oversee the site's P&L and align with customer commitments.
