Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an NDE Inspector (Starship) to perform surface and volumetric inspections, interpret findings, and report to production and engineering teams. You’ll review engineering drawings, support technique development for complex geometries, and contribute to R&D for qualification and certification of critical processes.

This role includes training responsibilities on the team in a highly dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• DopCertification as NDT Level II per ASNT NAS-410/DOD guidance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface and volumetric NDE inspections
• Interpret, evaluate, communicate, and report findings to production and engineering teams
• Interpret and review engineering drawings as required
• Support the development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries
• Support R&D of system qualification and certification for critical processes
• Assist in training and developing others on the team

Skills

NDE Level II

Aerospace experience

MS Office familiarity

Problem solving (PPS/8D)

Lean principles (5S/Kaizen)

Knowledge of NASA 5009 standards

Quality standards (AMS/AWS/ASME/ASTM)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

NDT Level II certification (ASNT NAS-410 or DOD)
