Qualifications

• Two years of college credits (60 MN credits) or an associate degree or higher.
• Passing score on the ParaPro or Paraeducator Assessment.
• Experience with students who have cognitive, physical, or behavior needs is preferred.
• Proficiency with word processing and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists in supervision and instruction for students with disabilities.
• Provides clerical and organizational support to special education teachers.
• Works with individuals or small groups as directed by teachers.
• Supports students in crisis and maintains safety and calmness.
• Fulfills other duties assigned by teacher or principal.
