Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Education Assistant for the STARS program at Cooper High School. Anticipated dates are August 31, 2026 through October 12, 2026.

The position is seven hours per day (6.5 paid hours plus 30 minutes unpaid lunch) at $22.54 per hour under the casual salary schedule. Qualifications

• Two years of college credits (usually 60 credits in MN) or an associate degree or higher.
• Passing score on the ParaPro or Paraeducator Assessment.
• Experience with students who have cognitive/physical disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing supervision and instruction to students with disabilities.
• Provides clerical and organizational support to special education teachers as needed.
• Works with individuals and/or small groups when activities are presented by teachers.
• Provides support for students in crisis.
• Willingness to lift, carry and physically manage as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by teacher or principal.
