Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Facilities Technician (Starlink) on 2nd shift to maintain and support our facilities. You will coordinate with vendors, manage service requests, and work with production engineers to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R, carpentry, and more, plus strong communication and project coordination skills. Overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of facilities and/or maintenance experience.
• Experience in construction, project management, equipment maintenance, and tenant improvements.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R, concrete, framing, and industrial gas trade.
• Ability to read instructions and blueprints.
• Experience with project management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Safety training and use of heavy equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R, carpentry, and other facilities systems.
• Coordinate and manage multi-trade projects with vendors and construction teams; communicate timelines and requirements with engineers and management.
• Oversee service requests, preventative maintenance, and access coordination for Starlink facilities.
• Open, track, and resolve electronic work tickets on SpaceX’s system.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and enforce PPE and safety protocols.
