Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician (Starlink) for 2nd shift to install, maintain, and troubleshoot heavy production equipment including cranes, compressed air systems, and overhead doors. You will ensure reliable operation of machinery, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and provide feedback for system improvements.

The role demands mechanical and electrical expertise, the ability to read blueprints, and hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and air

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• 3+ years of professional experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, fluid, or control systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and work instructions.
• Install production support equipment and ground/launch support equipment.
• Maintain and install electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect functionality of critical facility systems (cranes, elevators, compressed air, doors).
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns of cranes, doors, and air compressors.
• Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Source replacement parts and liaise with vendors.
• Communicate and schedule production impacts with the production team.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
• Assist HVAC team to maintain climate control during surges of workload.
