Job summary

SpaceX is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician (Starlink) for the 2nd shift in Redmond, WA. The role oversees installation and maintenance of heavy industrial equipment such as cranes, compressed air systems, and overhead doors, often working with third‑party contractors to keep production flowing smoothly.

The position requires 3+ years in maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, with PLCs and VFDs experience; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, fluid, or control systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and work instructions.
• Install and maintain production and launch support equipment.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect critical facility systems like cranes and compressed air.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns of cranes, doors, and air compressors.
• Fabricate parts for repairs or upgrades.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Source replacement parts and liaise with vendors.
• Communicate production impacts to the team.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
• Assist HVAC team to keep climate control functioning during workload surges.
