Job summary

Graton Resort & Casino is seeking a Starbucks Counter Attendant to provide a welcoming guest experience, take orders, and suggest beverages and food items. You will handle cash, maintain clean and stocked areas, and support daily operations in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires strong communication, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work weekends and varying shifts. A California Food Handler Certification and gaming license eligibility are required.

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Starbucks Counter Attendant is responsible for creating a great guest experience. Duties range from taking guest orders to recommending new beverages, food and retail, cash handling and keeping area cleaned, organized and stocked.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times.
• Greet guests with a smile and a pleasant disposition in a timely manner.
• Prepare food and beverage items for guests.
• Use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure that supplies in outlet areas are well stocked.
• Operate the Point of Sale system, cash handling, and accurately record guest's orders.
• Resolve guest complaints.
• Complete side work and any additional daily tasks.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
• Must be able to obtain a gaming license from the Graton Gaming Commission.
• Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle a flexible schedule and work weekends, holidays and all shifts.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
• Ability to stand for duration of the shift, bend and reach to a height of six feet with or without assistance.
• Hand/eye coordination and the ability to use sensory faculties.
