Job summary

Rack Electric is seeking a Standby Power Systems Field Technician to maintain and troubleshoot residential and commercial generators and related controls.

You’ll follow a paperless CRM-driven route, perform bi-annual maintenance, install remote monitoring, resolve issues, and participate in the on-call rotation during storms.

Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, willingness to cross-train, and a valid driver’s license are required; generator experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have solid mechanical background and technical aptitude.
• Electrical experience is a strong plus; familiarity with ATS, load shedding, and surge protection is advantageous.
• Willingness to be cross-trained across company divisions.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform bending, stooping, kneeling for extended periods.
• Clean Driver’s License required, license check prior to interview.

About the roleAt Rack Electric, our generator service division is growing fast. As a Standby Power Systems Field Technician, you’ll keep residential and commercial customers powered up by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing their generators and related controls.A day in the lifeYou start by reviewing your paperless route in our CRM, then roll out in a service vehicle to perform bi-annual maintenance visits. Between stops, you diagnose operational issues, fine-tune monitoring equipment, and advise customers on ATS, load shedding, and surge protection.
