Kelly Services is seeking a Stand up/Sit down Forklift Operator in Mount Vernon, IN for a 1-month temporary assignment starting September 7, 2026. Schedule is Mon-Fri 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, pay $20/hr, located in Mount Vernon, IN.

You will operate powered material-handling equipment for about 80% of the shift, load/unload, verify loads, inspect products, maintain inventory records, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification or completion within 30 days of employment.
• Warehouse experience and forklift operation experience.
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered material-handling equipment for about 80% of the shift.
• Load, unload, move, stock, stage, and relocate products safely.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment with correct quantities.
• Inspect inbound/outbound products for damage, codes, and customer requirements.
• Verify load accuracy and report variances.
• Maintain inventory records and documentation.
• Change batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Assist with physical inventory activities.
• Follow OSHA, SDS, safety requirements and procedures.
• Collaborate with coworkers and warehouse leadership to complete operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Location: Mount Vernon, IN

Duties

• Operate powered material-handling equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, and other power equipment, for approximately 80% of the shift.

• Load, unload, move, stock, stage, and relocate products and materials safely and efficiently.

• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct quantities and product types are loaded.

• Inspect inbound and outbound products for damage, infestation, proper product codes, and compliance with customer requirements.

• Verify load accuracy, including count, stability, and product condition, and report any variances.

• Maintain accurate inventory records, reports, and documentation.

• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor equipment power sources as needed.

• Conduct daily inspections of material-handling equipment.

• Maintain equipment, work areas, and materials in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.

• Assist with physical inventory activities.

• Follow all OSHA, MSDS/SDS, company, and customer safety requirements.

• Work effectively with coworkers and warehouse leadership to complete warehouse operations accurately and efficiently.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or the customer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Forklift operator certification is essential, or successful completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
