Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Gastonia, NC seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced factory systems and processes that improve reliability, energy efficiency, and integration of leading technologies.

You will lead capital projects, optimize production, oversee pre-series changes, maintain ISO-9001 documentation, and collaborate with facilities to support production needs in a onsite role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering with 4 years related experience.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing systems development and implementation.
• At least one year of project lead experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in stamping press principles and modifications to support production or strategic functions.
• Evaluate production processes for continuous improvement opportunities and coordinate implementation.
• Coordinate capital projects: vendor sourcing, quotes, justification, and equipment scheduling.
• Analyze annual Capital Spending Plan for project feasibility and SQDCME targets.
• Assist in strategic planning by evaluating processes and identifying improvements.
• Oversee pre-series and product changeovers and report findings.
• Maintain plant layout and improve process flow and material delivery.
