Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Gastonia, NC is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Specialist to maintain, repair and build tooling components for stamping operations. Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 8 years of practical Tool & Die Making experience.
• Ability to set up and operate Tool & Die equipment.
• Reading blueprints with AutoCAD.
• Operate Manual Mills, Lathes, Surface Grinders and CNC equipment.
• Calipers, micrometer and measurement equipment proficiency.
• Experience with drill presses and die grinders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and build dies, jigs, fixtures and tooling components.
• Install and repair die tooling, working with Progressive Stamping Presses.
• Troubleshoot probable causes of defective parts pertaining to tool & die repairs.
• Use root-cause failure analysis to make improvements.
