Job summary

Ford is seeking a skilled stamping process engineer to lead stamping operations, optimize processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure dimensional quality and process control.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in automotive engineering, and strong GD&T knowledge. Flex hours rotate every 3 months and extensive metrology experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering with 5+ years in automotive engineering
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ASME Y14.5 proficiency
• Experience driving dimensional quality improvement and process optimization
• Ability to flex hours with rotation every 3 months
• Experience with measurement systems and metrology equipment

Responsibilities

• Lead and support stamping operations.
• Optimize stamping processes for safety, quality, productivity and dimensional accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve process issues.
• Support design, validation, and buyoff of stamping dies, fixtures and related equipment.
• Define and optimize datum strategies to support part quality and process control.
• Develop and validate stamping process sequences considering geometry and variation.
• Design and implement verification methods to confirm process targets.
• Maintain quality plans including CMM, inline and off-line inspections.
