General Motors is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee stamping equipment maintenance during a designated shift at Lansing stamping facilities. You will supervise technicians, diagnose complex mechanical/electrical issues, perform hands-on repairs, and implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include coordinating with production to minimize downtime, mentoring junior staff, ensuring safety, and maintaining records.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and machine schematics.

Aufgaben

• Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on stamping presses, automated lines, and ancillary equipment using blueprints and schematics.
• Perform hands-on repairing of mechanical equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
• Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to prioritize repairs and minimize impact on production targets.
• Train and mentor junior technicians in maintenance best practices.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies during operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
• Communicate equipment status and requirements to management.
