You will coordinate across Engineering, Design, Process Integration, Die Execution, Secondary Tryout, Planning, and Manufacturing Operations to ensure launch deliverables meet quality, throughput, timing, and plant readiness.

Qualifications

  • End-to-end integration across die-to-press, tryout, and homeline delivery.
  • Experience integrating plant production requirements and scheduling considerations.
  • Ability to align multiple sites and functions (Pontiac STF, Parma) for priorities and escalation.
  • Define and sustain standardized workflows for stamping programs and launch deliverables.
  • Translate simulation, die, press, and plant learnings into design updates.
  • Identify recurring constraints and drive corrective action beyond a single program.

  • Lead cross-functional problem solving and escalate when risks arise.
  • Participate in selecting and developing employees; support training.
  • Establish long-range process improvement plans and tooling needs.
  • Ensure safety and good housekeeping; maintain governance of control systems.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end integration: Lead the die-to-press and tryout integration plan across design, simulation, die execution, secondary tryout, plant loading, and homeline delivery.
  • Launch performance: Integrate plant production requirements and T-event loading with Planning to assess launch-excellence criteria, forecast die-delivery cadence, and surface risks to schedule, capacity, and readiness.
  • Pontiac STF and Parma alignment: Establish clear priorities, operating cadence, and escalation paths for Pontiac STF, Parma, and associated integration resources.
  • Process standardization: Define, revise, and sustain standardized workflows for Pontiac STF, Parma, secondary tryout, T-events, R-events, virtual die books, and related execution deliverables.
  • Technical feedback loops: Convert simulation, servo / transfer, EDC, die, press, and plant learnings into actionable updates to design standards, tryout methods, process plans, and launch requirements.
  • Systemic learning: Identify recurring constraints—such as formability, ICR attainment, throughput, equipment capability, or die / press interfaces—and drive corrective action beyond an individual program.
  • KPI ownership: Architect and maintain the performance measures, deliverable tracking, and joint Engineering / Execution KPIs needed to manage integration performance.
  • Issue resolution: Lead cross-functional problem solving, make tradeoffs visible, and escalate decisions when schedule, capacity, quality, or launch timing is at risk.
  • People & development: Participate in the selection of new employees, train, develop and evaluate employees, and set group objectives aligned with KPIs.
  • Process improvement: Evaluate processes and procedures for digitization, oversee tooling activities, and develop long-range plans for process enhancements.
  • Site collaboration: Maintain near-constant contact with stakeholders outside the work group and provide technical assistance to sustain manufacturing performance.
