Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI seeks an experienced EGM MSI leader to drive the successful integration of software for vehicle testing and flash support across GMNA plants. You will nurture an engineering team, align stakeholders, and push for reliability and efficiency in production testing.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, program management, and continuous improvement across manufacturing IT and software teams, with up to 25% travel and onsite reporting at the Warren Tech Center.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring engineers.
• Knowledge of Electrical First Time Quality principles to prevent defects.
• Experience standardizing processes and driving continuous improvement across plants.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an engineering team, mentor members, and align goals with Global Electrical Lighthouse objectives.
• Oversee manufacturing test and flash software integration across GMNA final assembly plants, focusing on testing, flash releases, cycle-time reduction and defect prevention.
• Drive improvements through bench testing, VeSCoM checkouts, EFTQ initiatives, and early issue identification.
• Manage program execution and stakeholder engagement via GA Program Reviews, readiness activities, and budget/resource management.
• Support continuous improvement and issue resolution by shielding plants from EOL defects and driving IT system changes.
• Foster a proactive culture embracing change and future challenges in the organization.
• Build strategic relationships across software, manufacturing, and program management to enable cross-functional action.
