Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Stamping Automation Engineer to drive new automated manufacturing processes and improvements across North America. You will design equipment layouts, write specifications, and coordinate testing with suppliers and plant engineers.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background, strong project management, and the ability to read drawings and PFMEA. Expect travel for major launches and a hybrid onsite work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent with substantial stamping automation experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing launch programs.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and PFMEA concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new automated manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvements.
• Design analyses including layout for maintainability, uptime, throughput and reliability.
• Write technical specs for new equipment and improvements.
• Coordinate testing and installation with suppliers and plant engineers.
• Manage budgets, schedules and purchase orders; support after-hours emergencies.
