Job summary

General Motors Corporation in Warren, MI is seeking a Press and Automation Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize press and automation systems for stamping operations. You will collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and plant teams from concept through implementation.

This role requires a BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), 2+ years in manufacturing with stamping/automation, and strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required, Mechanical preferred.
• 2+ years in machinery/manufacturing with stamping/automation.
• Solid understanding of mechanical/electrical systems and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Specify, procure, develop, integrate, and validate press and automation system solutions.
• Perform design analysis of mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with controls IT and plant teams to define requirements and integration.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop technical documentation and support training for personnel.
