San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop construction designs and cost estimates for electric and fiber facilities, following RUS and NESC standards.

You will collaborate with members, officials, contractors, line crews, and customer service staff to ensure efficient project design and workflow. The role involves staking electric and fiber facilities, producing material lists, cost estimates, and using NISC Enterprise Software to create staking

Formación

• BS in Engineering required.
• Complete staking technician certification within first year.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Engineering & Design: Develops construction designs and plans, creates assembly drawings and construction units.
• Cost Estimating & Materials: Calculates construction costs, retirement costs, lists materials and cost estimates.
• Electric & Fiber Infrastructure: Stakes electric and fiber facilities and develops procedures for fiber construction.
• Permitting & Easements: Obtains easements and permits with coordination with agencies and property owners.
• Construction Coordination: Coordinates with contractors, SLVREC personnel, developers and other departments.
• Standards, Policies & Planning: Contributes to budgets, work plans and develops construction standards.
