Job summary
Midstate Electric Cooperative, Inc. seeks a Distribution Technician II to design, stake, and estimate new and upgraded electric distribution services and system improvements.
The role gathers field data, prepares construction drawings, staking sheets, right-of-way documents, surveys, and cost estimates; coordinates projects with members, developers, contractors, engineers, and government agencies; and supports long-range infrastructure planning.
Qualifications
- Five years of experience as a Certified Distribution Technician.
- Strong knowledge of utility construction practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, IVC Staking, and MapWise.
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
- Must reside within 45-minute drive of Midstate’s headquarters.
- Hourly, non-exempt position represented by IBEW Local 125.
Responsibilities
- Design, stake, and estimate new and upgraded electric distribution services and system improvements.
- Gather field data and prepare construction drawings and staking sheets.
- Prepare right-of-way documents, surveys, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate projects with members, developers, contractors, engineers, and government agencies.
- Support long-range infrastructure planning.
