Job summary

Upstage Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Staging Department Lead in Salt Lake City, UT to manage staging prep, inventory, check-in/out, and show readiness. You will support rental estimates, interact with clients on-site, and collaborate with project managers to deliver high-quality productions.

The role requires basic lighting/audio/video understanding and strong communication. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with potential for growth in a dynamic live-events team.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on detailed tasks.
• Basic understanding of lighting, audio, and/or video in a technical production setting strongly preferred.
• Understanding of industry and Upstage-specific standards as it relates to rental quality preferred.
• Experience with Rentman rental software is a plus.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (knowledge of Google Suite preferred).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Show Prep/Deprep for Staging (and provide support for other departments)
• Inventory Management
• Check-in/Check-out
• Repairs and Show Readiness
• Inventory Count
• Assist with Rental Department estimates, including email and phone correspondence for incoming sales requests
• Stageline Technician as needed
• On-site client Interface and Support
• Work with project managers as needed
• Other tasks and responsibilities as needed
