Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a part-time Restaurant Server at Stage Red in Fontana, CA. The server will provide table service, upsell menu items and maintain a clean service area.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of server experience, speaks English, and holds a Food Handlers Card/SERV Safe or is able to obtain it within 30 days. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Position Title: Server Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Venue Manager Classification: Part-time Hourly, Non-Exempt Compensation: $20.50 hour Location: STAGE RED FONTANA 8463 Sierra Ave., Fontana, CA 92335 Legends Global a leading provider of food and beverage services at Stage Red, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Restaurant Server inside Stage Red.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Self-motivated, detailed oriented and reliable
• Knowledge of proper table service with the ability to suggest food and beverages to customers.
• Maintains an organized and clean area that they are working at.
• Ability to communicate with guest and staff in a timely manner.
• Good knowledge of mixed drinks, wines and liquor brands.
• Desire to learn our menu and demonstrate complete understanding of all menu items.

Qualifications

• Basic math and good writing skills (For order taking)
• Prior experience working as a server for 1-year minimum in a restaurant setting.
• Positive attitude and neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Must be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time.

License/Certificate

• Food Handlers Card/SERV Safe
• A valid food handler’s card is required for this position. The company will cover the cost of the training and compensate employees for the time spent completing the course. The certification must be obtained within 30 days of the hire date.

TIPS Certified Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good attitude required.

Other Qualifications

• Must be able to work nights, days and weekends, along with some holidays
• Must also be able to do other duties as required

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Tasks are performed with moderate supervision without assistance for 40% of the workday; pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 50 lbs.
• Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday.
• This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
• Employees may be scheduled to work until 12:00am or later.
• Must be able to pass the background.
• Employee should use precautions & follow safety guidelines.
