Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a part-time server to join our Food & Beverage team at Fontana, CA. You will provide attentive service, upsell menu items, and help guests enjoy a memorable experience during events and daily service.

The role requires English proficiency, a courteous demeanor, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Certification in food safety and responsible beverage service is welcomed and supported by the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year server experience in a restaurant.
• Food Handlers Card/SERV Safe and TIPS certified within 30 days.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Must be able to stand on their feet for long periods.

Position Title: Server

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Venue Manager

Classification: Part-time Hourly, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $20.50 hour

Location: STAGE RED FONTANA 8463 Sierra Ave., Fontana, CA 92335

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Self-motivated, detailed oriented and reliable Knowledge of proper table service with the ability to suggest food and beverages to customers.
• Maintains an organized and clean area that they are working at.
• Ability to communicate with guest and staff in a timely manner.
• Good knowledge of mixed drinks, wines and liquor brands.
• Desire to learn our menu and demonstrate complete understanding of all menu items.

Qualifications

• Basic math and good writing skills (For order taking)
• Prior experience working as a server for 1-year minimum in a restaurant setting.
• Positive attitude and neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Must be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time.

License/Certificate

• Food Handlers Card/SERV Safe A valid food handler’s card is required for this position. The company will cover the cost of the training and compensate employees for the time spent completing the course. The certification must be obtained within 30 days of the hire date.
• TIPS Certified

Education And/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good attitude required.

Other Qualifications

• Must be able to work nights, days and weekends, along with some holidays
• Must also be able to do other duties as required

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Tasks are performed with moderate supervision without assistance for 40% of the workday; pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 50 lbs.
• Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday.
• This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Employees may be scheduled to work until 12:00am or later.
• Must be able to pass the background.
• Employee should use precautions & follow safety guidelines.
