Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Staffing/ Scheduling Coordinator to manage master schedules, daily staffing, and related HR processes within a hospital setting.

You will collaborate with unit managers and HR teams to ensure proper coverage, maintain records, and support payroll and leave management. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference for an associate degree and hospital secretarial experience.

Qualifications

• PC proficiency and good organizational and people skills required.
• Microsoft Windows competency expected.
• One-year hospital secretarial and medical experience preferred.
• Completion of a Medical terminology course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes master schedules for each nursing unit one month in advance and maintains Kronos records.
• Provides staffing coverage for illness, vacations and leaves; coordinates with managers for shifts.
• Maintains holiday Worked list and educational records for staff and licensed personnel.
• Coordinates paperwork for absences, payroll corrections and pay management; manages morgue-related releases as needed.
