Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Staffing Office Manager in Austin, TX to oversee daily operations of the staffing office and lead a team across morning, day, and evening shifts. You will monitor metrics, address gaps, and partner with recruiting and nursing leaders to align staffing decisions with the workforce strategy.

The role requires leadership experience in staffing or healthcare environments, with a strong focus on process improvement and staff satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3 years of leadership or management experience required.
• Experience in healthcare staffing scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily staffing office operations to ensure shifts are filled accurately and on time.
• Lead, coach, and schedule Staffing Office Coordinators across morning, day, and evening shifts.
• Monitor staffing metrics (fill rates, cancellations, response times) and address gaps quickly.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex staffing issues, cancellations, and service concerns.
• Partner with recruiters, nursing leaders, and program leadership to align staffing with workforce strategy.
• Ensure staffing processes, guidelines, and communication standards are followed and opportunities to improve efficiency are identified.
