Job description

Immediate Staffing Coordinator contract opportunity with our skilled nursing facility in Holtsville, NY.

Note: Must have prior Staffing/Scheduling Coordinator experience in a healthcare setting (nursing facility, rehabilitation center, hospital or long-term care)

Pay Rate

$30/hr

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Job Details

• The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the scheduling and coordination of nursing staff within the long-term care facility
• This includes managing the staffing levels, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and addressing any scheduling issues that may arise
• The role involves effective communication with various departments to guarantee the appropriate allocation of resources and maintain a qualified and skilled workforce
• Manage monthly calendars and staff callouts appropriately by following proper protocol
• Answer nursing department phones
• Handle timeclock reports and attendance records
• Assist nursing and human resources departments as needed

Qualifications

• Must have prior Staffing/Scheduling Coordinator experience in a healthcare setting (nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or long-term care)
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Smartlinx required
• Must have professional demeanor, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
