Autumn Leaves in Henderson, TX is seeking a Staffing Coordinator (CNA) for full-time, Mon-Fri with on-call rotations. The role focuses on organizing schedules, maintaining staff rosters, and ensuring adequate coverage for each shift within a skilled nursing setting.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, a Texas CNA license, CPR, and proven staffing coordination experience. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and EHR is expected to manage records and reporting efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous staffing coordinator experience required.
• Experience in long term care environment preferred.
• Proficient with computer systems (Word, Excel, EHR).
• Current Texas CNA license in good standing or compact license.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily and monthly schedules are posted in PCC.
• Maintain and distribute a current nursing staff listing with phone numbers.
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
• Post state-required staff hours sheet on units.
• Coordinate with HR for hire, status change, and termination records.
• Schedule floor orientation for new hires before placement.
• Ensure adequate staff per shift to meet resident needs.
• Schedule modified duties per work restrictions and policy.
• Coordinate orientation for new associates with HR.
• Participate in community orientation for new staff.
• Build rapport with interdepartmental personnel.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Complete other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and providers.
• Be part of On Call rotation; cover shifts as needed.

The Job:

The Staffing Coordinator organizes and prepares work schedules for associates to ensure that the appropriate number of staff is available for each shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure daily and monthly schedules are posted accordingly in PCC.
• Maintain and distribute a current listing of all nursing staff associates with phone numbers as needed.
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
• Ensure state-required staff hours sheet is posted on units.
• Coordinate with Human Resources for the completion and maintenance of records for nursing staff upon hire, status change, and termination in a timely manner.
• Ensure all newly hired nursing associates are scheduled for floor orientation prior to scheduling them to the floor.
• Ensure there is an adequate number of nursing associates for each shift to provide adequate care, per Community resident needs.
• Work with Human Resources Manager and Director of Nursing when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and policy.
• Coordinate with Human Resources in scheduling new associates for orientation.
• Participate in Community orientation of new associates.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with interdepartmental personnel.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Complete other duties as directed by supervisor
• Work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, Community associates, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providers.
• Be a part of the On Call Rotation, and be available to work both days/nights to cover open shifts as needed.

Must Haves:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous staffing coordinator experience required
• Experience in long term care environment preferred
• Proficient in the use of computer systems (Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record system, etc.)
• Current state license as a CNA with Texas in good standing or compact license
• Proof of current CPR certification
