Job summary

River Grove Health and Rehabilitation in Tennessee is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to support nursing operations by scheduling staff and coordinating with the Director of Nursing. This role ensures adequate coverage and efficient shift planning.

You will work closely with nursing supervisors, handle calls related to scheduling, assist with payroll, and support clinical management tasks as needed. Prior long-term care experience and the required CNA/Med Tech/nursing license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess either a CNA, Med Tech, or nursing license.
• Previous Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all nursing staff and prepares the weekly schedule.
• Notifies staff of schedule and necessary schedule changes.
• Directs incoming calls to address scheduling issues and informs Nursing Administration of gaps.
• Obtains permission from the Dir. of Nursing/Administrator before scheduling overtime or nursing registry personnel.
• Adjusts schedules to accommodate illness, vacation, PTO days, etc.
• Collaborates with Nursing Administration daily to ensure adequate staffing.
• Assists nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.
• Assists payroll manager with processing of weekly payroll and nursing hours.

Job Summary

The Staff Scheduler is responsible for assisting with staff scheduling of the Nursing Department. Assists with coordinating an effective schedule under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Works directly with nursing supervisors on shift-specific nursing care hour needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Schedules all nursing staff and prepares weekly nursing schedule. Notifies staff of schedule and necessary schedule changes.
• Receives incoming calls and directs them appropriately to address nursing scheduling issues. Notifies Nursing Administration when there is insufficient staff availability or scheduling conflicts.
• Obtains permission from the Dir. of Nursing/Administrator before scheduling overtime or nursing registry personnel.
• Adjusts schedules as needed to accommodate changes, i.e., illness, vacation, PTO days, etc.
• Collaborates with Nursing Administration daily to ensure adequate and appropriate staff is allocated.
• Assists nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.
• Assists payroll manager with processing of weekly payroll and appropriate nursing hours.

Requirements:

• Must posses either a CNA, Med Tech, or nursing license
• Previous Long-term care experience preferred.
