About the Role

AristaCare at Cedar Oaks is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator for Nursing Services. In this role, you will design and implement staffing patterns for professional and nonprofessional nursing staff, focusing on intermediate and residential care levels. Your efforts will ensure optimal coverage, maintain employee relations, and enhance overall facility efficiency.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement staffing schedules for nurses and nursing assistants to ensure adequate coverage.
  2. Coordinate with HR to communicate staffing needs and changes.
  3. Interpret and apply HR policies related to nursing staff.
  4. Participate in training to improve nursing team skills.
  5. Manage staff absences, leaves, and scheduling adjustments.
  6. Keep accurate records of leaves, vacations, and absences, and recommend actions.
  7. Administer the facility's uniform policy.
  8. Coordinate training and orientation for nursing staff with relevant supervisors.
  9. Maintain a contact list of nursing employees for use by supervisors.
  10. Ensure sufficient, trained personnel are available.
  11. Complete administrative forms and reports accurately.
  12. Foster positive employee relations.
  13. Manage nursing schedules and timesheets, ensuring compliance with staffing ratios.
  14. Communicate daily with unit managers and supervisors for staffing needs.
  15. Fill schedule openings as needed.
  16. Handle reference requests per regulations.
  17. Participate in committees and QA meetings as directed.
  18. Accurately input payroll data, considering union and non-union employees.
  19. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule & Location

Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, on call, with weekends as needed. Location: 1311 Durham Ave, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
